Black Everywhere Celebrates 13 Years with "Black Health is Magic" – A Powerful Event to Kick Off Black History Month


Long Beach, CA – November 14, 2024 – Black Everywhere is excited to mark its 13th anniversary with a major event at the Art Theatre of Long Beach. Themed "Black Health is Magic," this celebration will bring together influential community leaders and advocates to address health disparities affecting Black communities and to honor individuals making a meaningful difference.


Key Features: The day will include a film screening, featuring Kema Ward, Black Everywhere’s Community Health Facilitator, followed by a panel discussion on health equity in Black communities. Esteemed panelists include Raniyah Copeland, Founder of Equity & Impact Solutions and former CEO of the Black AIDS Institute, and Kevin Hatcher, Black Health Equity Coordinator for the City of Long Beach's Department of Health and Human Services.


The Community Action Awards will be presented by Councilmember Bridgett Lewis of Torrance, CA, honoring individuals who have significantly contributed to improving health outcomes in the Black community.
