About the Event
Join Black Everywhere as we team up with Black Philadelphia to serve a meal to those experiencing homelessness. This is a rewarding opportunity to give back and support some of Philadelphia's most vulnerable citizens.
Event Details:
- Commitment: Serious commitments only! We have only 10 slots available, so please RSVP only if you are firmly committed to attending.
- Volunteers: This service event is for adults 18 years and older only, no exceptions.
- Tasks: Volunteers will plate food, walk trays to guests seated in the dining room, clear dishes when guests finish eating, and support with cleaning tasks like wiping tables and filling napkin dispensers.
- Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory (no sandals or flip-flops). Volunteers should wear pants, socks, and shoes. Hairnets, aprons, and plastic gloves will be provided.
- Parking: Free parking is available on the north side of Vine Street West. Cross 13th Street, then make the next right into the parking lot between Roman Catholic High School and the facility. Look for the sign on the gate just before the entrance to the lot. If you reach Broad Street, you’ve gone too far.
Requirements:
- All new volunteers must create an account and sign a waiver on the website: Sign Up Here.
- You cannot just show up the day of the event; you must sign up online.
