Hello!

Good afternoon everyone! Paperbacks used to be my go to, but since Covid hit I’ve been listening to audiobooks mostly. Its more of a matter of convenience. I like to listen while commuting to work and while running/walking. Non-fiction thrillers take up most of my library, but recently I’ve been into books about women in entrepreneurship and autobiographies. My current read…

This is the book I’m currently reading

Now reading

Just finished Unmasking Autism and highly recommend Come As You Are for those who have sex with female parts.

I just got back into reading books cover to cover 2024 and it was so hard getting here. I never truly stopped reading though. Hoping this groups helps me keep it up.

I like personal development books, fantasy, magical, and dystopian. If the fiction book has some sort of afro-carribbean lore even better.

Intro

Hi, I’m Ebony. I love fiction but read a lot of entrepreneurship nonfiction for work.

Great question! I suppose by not forcing it and doing what you can to facilitate the environment for non-work reading. I'm so excited about my latest book but refuse to crack it open if my eyes and energy are fatigued from work.

Instead I try to wait for times when there is good natural or slightly dimmed lighting for my well rested mind and eyes to take in the story at hand. Sometimes it's only a few pages. Others a few voraciously consumed back to back chapters.
