Culture Fest Picnic! (Philadelphia, PA)

Join Black Everywhere for a day of celebrating the Culture with food, music, and the joy of the diaspora! Here’s what you need to know:

• Celebrate the Culture: We're bringing together the food, music, and joy of the diaspora for a day of love and sunshine. It's almost Juneteenth, so why not?!

• Event Origins: This event is the brainchild of our members Johanna and Akudo, with a big thanks to Greg for hosting.

• Location: We’ll be gathering in a public park, but if you're willing to host us in your backyard, that's even better! Contact us if you're open to hosting at your place.

• Arrival Time: Please arrive no later than 4:30pm because we’re trying to eat!

• What to Bring: Bring your lawn chair, games, and your twist on your favorite "cultural" dish to the party. Whether it's beef patties, saltfish, fried chicken, vegan or regular jollof rice, mac-n-cheese, Sorrel, Rum Punch, or any dish that makes the ancestors proud—bring that dish! No store-bought cookies or sweet potato pies (yes, we’re judging on this day!).

• Rep Your Culture: No matter where you're from, feel free to represent your flag or your colors too!

• Cost: $5 per person (covering plates, utensils, cups, ice, etc) in advance. Also, bring a food or beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) item to share by June 20, 2024.

• RSVP: The RSVP list will be updated on June 20th.
• Clean-Up: Let’s plan to keep Greg's yard clean by leaving no trace.

• Liability: By RSVP'ing, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Black Everywhere® - Philadelphia group Organizers, Co-Organizers, and/or Host(s) of and from any injuries, damages, or liabilities incurred before, during, or after the event.
