Hiking Trip to Amicalola Falls (Atlanta, GA)

Join us for a beautiful morning hike to Amicalola Falls in Dawsonville, GA, with Black Everywhere! Let's come together to enjoy the stunning waterfalls and nature. 

Here’s what you need to know:

• Event Date: Saturday, July 13
• Meeting Location: North Springs MARTA Station (Parking available for $8 daily)
• Meeting Time: 7:30 a.m. for departure at 8:00 a.m.
• Destination: Amicalola Falls, a 729-foot cascading waterfall, the third-highest east of the Mississippi River
• Arrival Time: Around 9:30 a.m. for a perfect morning hike
• Park Entry: $5 GA State Park Pass required for all vehicles

Suggested Timeline:

• 7:30 a.m.: Meet at North Springs MARTA Station
• 8:00 a.m.: Depart from the station
• 9:30 a.m.: Arrive at Amicalola Falls
• 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Hike and enjoy the falls (including breaks and photo opportunities)
• 1:00 p.m.: Depart from Amicalola Falls
• 2:30 p.m.: Arrive back at North Springs MARTA Station

Recommended Items to Bring:

• Comfortable hiking shoes or boots
• Plenty of water (at least two liters per person)
• Snacks or a packed lunch
• Sunscreen and a hat
• Bug spray
• A small backpack to carry everything
• A rain jacket or poncho (just in case)
• A first aid kit
• A map or downloaded trail app (though the trails at Amicalola Falls are well-marked)
• A fully charged phone
• Layers of clothing (weather can change, especially in the mountains)
