About the Event
Here’s what you can expect:
Community Meetup:We’ll meet at the front steps of the Penn Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology before heading over to the festival together. Don’t be late — the group will leave the meetup spot at 11:15 AM sharp!
A Celebration of Culture:ODUNDE spans 12 city blocks and features a vibrant African marketplace, delicious food, live music, and traditional performances.
Honoring Tradition:This unique event includes a powerful procession to the Schuylkill River to honor Oshun, the Yoruba goddess of the river.
Unapologetic Blackness:Whether you stick with the group or explore on your own, ODUNDE is all about rejoicing in community, culture, and shared heritage.
