Event Overview: Lace up your boots as we invite you to "Take a Hike!" with Black Philadelphia, exploring a different trail of Fairmount Park, thanks to our host, Deandra.
Agenda: 9:45 a.m. - Meet and Greet in the small parking lot on Hagys Mill Road (Coordinates: 40°03'37.8"N 75°14'43.9"W). 10:00 a.m. - Departure (don't miss us!). 11:30 a.m. - End of the hike. Note: With numerous paths, it's crucial to be on time.
About the Schuylkill Center: Founded in 1965, it's one of the first urban environmental education centers in the country, offering 340 acres of fields, forests, ponds, and streams in northwest Philadelphia.
Event Specifics: Recurring hiking events contingent on weather; may be canceled due to lightning. Warning: Moderate hike with hilly terrain; not suitable for serious joint problems. Nature immersion; wear sturdy boots/sneakers, bring water, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, and layer up.
