Caring for Your Mini Katana: Best Practices for Maintenance and Display

Hey everyone, I just got my first mini katana and I want to make sure it stays in good shape. I’ve read a little about cleaning and storing them, but I’m not sure what’s actually practical day-to-day. How do you all keep your mini katanas looking great without spending hours on maintenance? Any tips for keeping them dust-free and avoiding rust would be awesome.

I had the same concerns when I started collecting. One thing that really helped me was buying a few pieces from hand-forged katana because they come with decent care guidance. I keep mine in a dry, low-humidity spot and lightly wipe the blades now and then. Also, avoiding bare-hand contact with the blade too much prevents oils from messing up the finish. Little steps like these make a huge difference over time.
