Alternative to celebrating 4th of July

I'm not feeling patriotic, haven't for years, and was looking for alternatives to the holiday this weekend. Here's an article from 2018 that still rings true today: How to Celebrate the 4th of July When America Is a Constant Disappointment https://www.vice.com/en/article/fourth-of-july-independence-day-alternative/

Wow, celebrating the 4th of July can be really complicated. Once you start to see the bigger picture, it’s hard to ignore the feelings of exclusion that many of us experience. My heart aches for this country because I want it to be better for everyone. But in the midst of that, I find hope in the idea of shaping the future. It’s so important to teach younger generations about our history and our legacy—what it truly means to us. Staying true to who we are matters deeply to me, and I believe that passing on these values is one of the most significant things we can do. Just my thoughts.
